The Secret Service

I really love the Angelina Jolie/James MacAvoy movie WANTED and was curious to read the original Mark Millar Graphic Novel that inspired it. Unlike the movie, however, it was a very hateful and mean-spirited book that I really detested, making me VERY wary about reading Millar's original comic that inspired the movie KINGSMAN.
Only when I found out that Watchmen artist dave Gibbons illustrated it did I consider picking it up, and when a cheap copy came my way, I bought it.About halfway through and so far very good!

The Authority, Vol.1-3

The series that reinstated my belief that comics COULD be good again! By the time my friend Gerg handed me The Authority, I was already a bitter, jaded comic book reader who thought that most of the new comics stuff was mere flash written by high schoolers, but WOW this series just blew me the HELL away!

Wanted

Usually I'm the kind of person who sees a movie based on a comic I love and really hate the movie adaptation...Going in to the Angelina Jolie movie, I hadn't read the graphic novel, and I absolutely loved it! Of course, the fans I knew who HAD read the comic had issues with the movie.
With this in mind I finally checked out the Graphic Novel of Wanted, and pssssshhh....gotta say I didn't like it much. So crass and mean-spirited, unlike the movie where the villains kill "for the greater good" (or what they believe to be the greater good anyway) THESE characters are really unlikeable, evil characters who Steal, Rape and Murder just for the hell of it....and we're supposed to sympathize with them? Uh-Uh.
