FreakAngels, Collected

I picked up the last Graphic Novel of the epic Warren Ellis/Paul Duffield futuristic online drama FREAKANGELS only a couple of weeks ago, and in a wonderful timing coincidence, I just got in the mail today the awesome SLIPCASE they'd put out to house all six books once you'd collected them all, and MY DOES IT LOOK BEAUTIFUL!

Collected:
When I'd initially seen the slipcase available for pre-order, I order that thing so fast, I can't even remember how much I paid for it! But whatever it was, I think it's safe to say that it was worth it!!

Barbara Eden, Again

The movie “Harper Valley PTA” (based loosely on the famous Jeannie C. Riley song of the same name) was like a lot of those Disney summer movies of the 70’s like the North Avenue Irregulars, with its zany women and their wacky hijinx, but for a Barbara Eden fan like me, it was more like pure heaven!
As I’ve stated many times before, I’ve always had a penchant for those “I Dream of Jeannie” episodes when she wasn’t in the harem costume and much preferred her to be dressed in “regular” dresses, blouses and outfits, so a movie like this that showcased exactly that was a dream come true!
Not only did I get Barbara draped in the most swingin’ of fashions, they were all presented to me in all her bra-less glory that only a movie could provide! Ahhh, ya just gotta love the seventies!
And if that wasn't captivatingly stunning enough, when she WAS wearing a bra, why, that would just about be the only thing she’d be wearing! Yep, Harper Valley PTA: Camp Factor: A+, SEXY Factor: AAA+++!
I remember seeing the movie poster for this way back in 1978 and thinking, “Whoa, Jeannie Looks frickin’ fine in this!” Sure is nice to know that when I finally got around to seeing it, it didn’t disappoint!

Mila Kunis is Freaking Hot!

The Sultry Mila Kunis
I was never a big "That 70's Show" fan, so for me at the time, Mila Kunis was simply that cute girl voicing the ever-sufferable Meg Griffin on "Family Guy", and it wasn't until I saw her in "Date Night as James Franco's's slutty n sexy galfriend "Whippit" that I realized how hot she was!
with James Franco in Date Night
I immediately joined the legion of Mila Kunis fans from that point on, and have loved her in everything I've seen her in, but it wasn't until just the other day that I finally got to see her awesome and bodacious performance as gorgeous con-artist Cindy Metlzer in the Mike Judge comedy EXTRACT that I finally thought My GOD this woman is just this STUNNING, beautiful, EXOTIC CREATURE!!!
Charming the Music Store Staff
Flashing that Killer smile...
Lovin' that backside as she walks off with an unpaid for guitar...
"Extract" tells the story of a young man (played by the always affable Jason Bateman) who runs a vanilla extract business that's about to be offered a deal by General Mills. Everything seems to be going on the right track though his home life seems to be suffering. Enter the lascivious Mila Kunis on the scene and suddenly his entire world, business, personal and even sexual, is turned upside down!
JK Simmons introduces Mila and some guy he can't remember
...and can you blame him?
You know, I just LOVE it when a sexy actress is playing a sexy character- it gives them a perfect reason to strut that stuff!  And that "Cindy Metzler" (which is one of only several of her assumed names, one must conclud) is CERTAINLY THAT!
Intense and Conniving: Hatching a Plan!
Watching that husky-voiced doe-eyed feline con and charm her way into every guy she's scamming is like watching a lioness on the prowl ponce and sink her claws into her prey! Before I knew it I was screen capping picture after picture after picture....
Smoky and Sultry....Mmmm...

Super-Vixens: Vampirella

In celebration of Halloween, I give you Warren's famed Gothic Supernatural Seductress that's been putting the VAMP in Vampire for nigh on five decades, the illustrious Queen of the Undead, Vampirella!
Vampi's been around since the late sixties,  and I remember feasting my young eyes on  those oh-so-seductive Warren Magazine covers and noting that even then it seemed more about sex than Horror! Oh, you can bet those covers just drove me out of my mind, they were so AWESOME!
I remember back in 1979, there was this one particular Vampirella cover that I truly believe was the sexiest illustration I'd ever seen at that point in my life (and still may rank among the top five!) and I remember staring at that cover every day I went into the store to buy my comics.
Oh how I'd been brave (and old) enough to have picked that one up at the time, but unfortunately for my raging hormones, it would be not until years later that I finally got ahold of that one! The issue was Vampirella #82, and I remember when I was older, going to the comic store and feverishly thumbing through the old box of Vampirellas, and the THRILL when I found it again after all those years!
But that was just one of the many, many awesome issues that Warren put out in those years (even a short stint where they used real life models dresses as Vampi for the covers, which i just HATED) and  she even had a new life in the 90s and beyond in the comics medium! But for, it would always be about those 70's issues that so enthralled me!
